Collecting hotwheel cars and noticed a lightning bolt on bottom are different?

My husband was just wondering what the different lightning bolts mean on the bottom of the cars. Some are gold, silver and others don’t have any at all. Are there some cars better to collect than others? Thanks for your help!

    The detail for race track that was pretty poor have is usually higher than hotwheels and matchbox but think they are junk some of mine had one ten or fifteen years ago.
