new car questions
TBS asked:

I am getting a 2004 Chevy Impala Indy SS and it comes with XM Radio. The factory cd player is in the car and I am going to put a new cd player in it. As long as my new cd player is XM ready, should XM transfer over fine to my new cd player?

Dont be too sure. Call XM and check before you do this.

It should, most of the xm radio’s have an external box that uses a subscriber ID. So If the box is outside the radio, probably mounted in your car somewhere, than yes, your good to go. The box I am referring to is a decoder which takes the sat signal and transfer it to the radio. There is a very slim chance that it is in your radio.
